The Raccoon Valley Aktion Club invites all to a free showing of the movie “Where Hope Grows” Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2 pm at the Sierra Community Theatre in Jefferson.
“Where Hope Grows” tells the story of a baseball player (played by Kristoffer Poloha) whose professional career was cut short due to personal problems, and how he is awakened and invigorated by a young man with Down syndrome (played by David DeSanctis), who works at the local grocery store.
Members of the Aktion Club and their advisors heard DeSanctis speak and saw the movie at the Leadership Conference they attended in Indianapolis last June. They’ve worked since then with the Sierra Community Theatre staff and board to bring the movie to Greene County.
There is no admission for the movie. Concessions will be available. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
